This is pretty much up there with Death Note as my favorites. :]
As second place, I can describe it a little.
This show is about what happens after Japan is defeated by Britannia.
Lelouch, a Britannian that wants justice for Japan, is awarded the power to make others obey his commands, and starts a group called the Black Knights. They call themselves Knights for Justice, yadda yadda. Watch it if you want to know anything else. :]
I absolutely LOVE this anime. My favorite characters are Lelouch and Euphemia.
